He Paid For It
He paid for both spots as part of his lease, and the space right next to his was owned by his neighbor. They needed both of their parking spaces, as they had two huge vehicles, which sometimes would cause issues for both parties.
It Was Annoying
The man would often park right at the top of his lane so that his neighbors would have no issues pulling out their cars. But things got complicated when his other neighbor started stealing his spot.
He Was Silent At First
He first started noticing it on street cleaning days. His downstairs neighbor would always park his car in the man’s space, blocking him in and making life hard for his other neighbor who owned the spot over. But he bit his tongue as it was only for an hour or so.
It Was An Expensive Neighbourhood
He allowed it because he knew the parking in the neighborhood was pricey, as it was a busy city area. But as the months passed, his neighbor started taking liberties and parking for full days in the spot, including weekends.
It Was His Property
The man said, ‘I don’t drive often, maybe twice a month, but it is still a pain in the ass to not be able to get out if I wanted to.’
He Took Action
Instead of simply talking to his neighbor, the man began to park only at the mouth of his driveway. This meant that the downstairs neighbor couldn’t get in. Later, he even bought lawn furniture to place there, like a little garden. He was pleased with himself but wondered if he had gone too far. So he asked the internet for advice.
