A woman who was not on good terms with her neighbors installed a six-foot-high fence, which was against regulations. When someone reported her, she was furious and devised a plan to get revenge. Here is what she had to say.
She Didn’t Get Along Well With Her Neighbor
Donna installed a six-foot fence around her property as she didn’t get along well with her neighbor and thought some privacy would benefit everyone.
It Wasn’t Allowed
However, the height of her fence was against county rules, and somebody reported her.
She Got Creative
She was forced to trim the top of the fence to make it shorter. However, she then cited another county rule that allowed her to paint it any color she wanted.
And Got Revenge
So, over the Thanksgiving holidays, she painted the fence bright neon colors on the neighbor’s side and a bluish-gray on her side to match the trim on her home.
She Was Angry
It was a matter of principle for Donna, who explained, “It’s a control thing; they are basically trying to control the things that I do on my property.”
Her Neighbors Hated It
However, the color scheme of the fence infuriated her neighbors.
And Accused Her Of Lacking Respect
Dick, who lives two doors down said, “I don’t know what her problem is, but she certainly doesn’t have any respect for her neighbors”.
She Hadn’t Been Given The Correct Information
Donna explained that she had been told incorrectly that a six-foot fence was fine, but it turned out that along the front yard, the limit was 4 feet.
She Refused To Change The Color
Donna remained resolute, however, and said “That paint has a 20-year warranty, so within 15 years if it needs to be repainted, it’ll be painted the same color.”

One person said, “I don’t get why people can’t mind their business. How is a multi-colored fence bothering you?”
Another person said, “10/10 the dude whining about the color called in the height.”
