They all offered very generous scholarships and financial aid, which the boy could apply for as he lived in the US. This meant he wouldn’t need his college fund. But that’s when his sister tried to claim it.

Over the years, his sister had struggled with her education, and her grades were not nearly as good as her half-brother’s. Unlike him, she had no chance of getting a scholarship to any of the colleges she applied to, so when she found out that he wanted to go to Oxford, she was mad. She wanted him to give her the money in his college fund so she could further her education.
