A woman organized a winter-themed wedding, but when one of her bridesmaids arrived wearing an incorrect dress color and caused a scene, the woman took action. Here’s what she had to say:
The Winter Wedding
The woman explained, “In the country I live in, it’s currently winter, and we get a fair amount of snow, so my wedding was a winter-themed wedding. The color theme was forest green and gold. My dress was obviously white, and I chose the color of my bridesmaid’s dresses to be forest green as well. My maid of honor’s dress was black, and everyone was to wear gold accessories.”
The Woman’s Friend Didn’t Like the Color Theme
The woman asked her friend, Kat, to be one of her bridesmaids. They went dress shopping together as the woman bought all the dresses, but Kat said she didn’t like the color theme as it wasn’t flattering and instead suggested something more “girly”.
She Wanted to Wear Black Like the Maid of Honor
The woman told Kat she wouldn’t change the color and was then surprised when Kat asked if she could wear black like the maid of honor. The woman said this color was only for the maid of honor, and Kat agreed.
She Arrived at The Wedding
On the wedding day, while everyone was getting ready, Kat showed up thirty minutes late holding a bag that had a dress inside. The woman asked her what it was for, and Kat said it was in case she wanted to change later at the reception.
She Wore a Black Dress
The woman explained, “So fast forward, we’re all dressed and walking down the stairs because the ceremony is beginning in 30 minutes and we were going to take some pictures before. Kat is the last person to come down, and she’s wearing a black dress!”
The Woman Confronted Her Friend
The woman was annoyed, so she went up to Kat and asked why she was wearing black. Kat said she hated her bridesmaid dress and thought it made her look ugly, so she decided to wear black instead. The woman told her to change, but Kat refused and walked away.

The woman was shocked but decided to ask her one more time, and if she didn’t change, she would call security and kick her out!

The woman said, “The wedding went on, and it was truly amazing.” However, she explained that after the wedding, Kat had been sending her nasty messages and was asking for the money for the black dress. In the end, the woman blocked her number.
