She’d Never Had Any Problems
She lived with her husband and three kids in an English town where everybody kept to themselves. It was a great area, and they’d never had any problems, such as arguments with neighbors. It was the perfect place for them! That was until her neighbor picked a fight.
He Confronted Her
One day, her 45-year-old neighbor knocked on her door and started complaining about the woman’s husband’s car. He said it was parked over his driveway, making it difficult for his daughter who wanted to pull in. But when the woman went to check, the front of her husband’s car was only half an inch over the property line.
She Apologized
The woman thought her neighbor was being ridiculous, but for the sake of peace, she apologized to the man and made her husband move back an inch. She hoped that her neighbor was just in a bad mood and didn’t think much more of it… even when she heard him complaining about her and the rest of the neighborhood through the walls.
They Lived in England
She lived in an English town, and all the houses were attached. Each home had a driveway or two allotted spaces on the street, semi on the path, but pedestrians could still walk past. The woman had no driveway, so she used the parking outside. Her neighbor, however, had five cars and not only used their own driveway but the street parking and was known to steal the woman’s spot from time to time.
Her Neighbors Were Annoying
The woman was annoyed at her neighbor. He’d used her parking spots a few times without permission, and he was getting weird about her husband’s car, which was only half an inch on his property. It was ridiculous! He was known to be a rude guy, often yelling at his kids, drilling early in the morning, and throwing loud parties.
They Started Yelling
One day, the woman was making breakfast when she heard yelling outside. When she went to look, she discovered her husband in a heated argument with the neighbor. He was mad about the half an inch parking… again! When the woman tried to intervene, she was shocked by her neighbor’s response.
He Called Her the C-Word
The woman calmly told the man that the car was only half an inch over the property line, but he was outraged and called her a series of awful names. Even the C-word! He said his daughter couldn’t escape their driveway because the woman’s husband was blocking her in. That’s when the woman lost it!
All Hell Broke Loose
The woman said, ‘I told him I wasn’t moving the car, and if his daughter couldn’t reverse out of an open driveway, she shouldn’t be driving!’
Was She in the Wrong?
The neighbor was outraged and flipped the woman off. Later, when her children were playing in the front yard, the neighbor gave them dirty looks. The woman wondered if she should have just told her husband to move his car, expecting the neighbor to retaliate in some nasty way. She asked the internet for advice.
