People Were Always Parking in Her Driveway
The woman said, ‘I live near a music and events venue, and at some events, people will park in my driveway.’
It Was Annoying
She hated when people parked on her property but didn’t bother ever towing the cars, despite having to park somewhere else, often walking a fair distance to get back to her house. But one day, after a long 7-hour drive, she couldn’t find a spot nearby and decided to block the stranger in her driveway in.
She Blocked Him in
It was just after Christmas, and she was exhausted after driving 7 hours, and since it was her property, she thought she had every right to block the person in. She expected a knock on her door that evening or morning, but no one came by.
They Finally Reached Out
The next day, the woman decided to ride her bike to work as she was trying to save money on gas and lose some weight. She returned home to find a note on her front door and car, asking her to let the stranger she’d blocked in know when she had moved her vehicle.
Her Car Broke Down
She called the stranger and apologized for blocking them in. They could come by that evening, and she would move her car. But when the man arrived, it all went wrong. When the woman tried to move her car, it wouldn’t start. So she asked him for help.
He Wouldn’t Help Her
The woman asked the man to jump-start her car, as she assumed the battery was at fault, but he refused. He owned a new Lexus, and he didn’t trust her 97 Camry not to damage it. So she called her boyfriend, but he couldn’t come until the next day. When the stranger heard this, he wasn’t happy.
It Was a Nightmare
That’s when the stranger started yelling and demanding she tow her car, to which she said no. She couldn’t afford it! Plus, it was his fault in the first place for parking on her property. He would have to wait a day to retrieve his Lexus if he wouldn’t give her the jump start.
He Started Yelling
The next day, the woman’s boyfriend returned and tried to jump-start his girlfriend’s Camry. The stranger had also returned too, watching in annoyance. But to everyone’s dismay, the car still wouldn’t start. Her boyfriend tested the starter and the ignition and couldn’t see any problems. The stranger was enraged and threatened legal action against the woman if she didn’t get her car towed ASAP. So, she called her dad.
Her Dad Saved the Day
The woman said, ‘My dad comes by in his truck, and he brings tow straps and toes the car into the street, and it’s all done with.’
Was She in the Wrong?
After her dad saved the day, the stranger was still mad and yelled at her for leaving him without a car for days when she could have just called her father. She had wasted his time waiting for her to sort out her rubbish car. The woman’s dad replied for her, telling the stranger to get off of his daughter’s property. The woman knew that if she hadn’t blocked the man in the first place, none of this would have happened. Was she at fault? She asked the internet for advice.
