A man kept seeing the same car in his parking space. He’d tried to contact the owner to stop, as well as the building management, but the parking spot thief just kept striking. In the end, he blocked them in and called a tow truck. But it wasn’t long before he was in a standoff with the thief; the tow truck man was awkwardly stuck in the middle.
It Was Super Annoying
The man said, ‘At my apartment complex, this one car kept parking in my spot.’
He’d Tried It The Nice Way
He was continuously unable to use his own parking space despite owning it as part of his lease. The strange car was, therefore, causing quite a nuisance. He tried to get the owner to stop the nice way by leaving notes on their windshield, but they wouldn’t stop.
Management Tried To Call A Tow Truck
When he contacted the building management, they offered to call a tow truck. But the man felt bad and asked if they could find the owner and warn them against their car stealing ways.
They Didn’t Follow Through
Days passed, and nothing happened. The car was still in the man’s space. Clearly, management had either not yet made their warning or they hadn’t made it clear enough. It was time to get serious.
It Was Time To Get Serious
He called management and asked them to call the tow truck. They said they would be there in 30 minutes to save the day. But the man couldn’t risk the car thief escaping.
He Took Matters Into His Own Hands
The man said, ‘I parked my vehicle behind the car because I didn’t want them getting away, as they’ve done this multiple times and had multiple chances to stop.’
The Confrontation
After 20 minutes of waiting, the owner of the car appeared. Finally, the man was face to face with his car space thief, and they were asking him to move his car. The man responded, listing off the multiple times the man had stolen his space even though he’d asked him to stop.
They Were Angry
The thief was furious, but the man wouldn’t move his car so he could escape. Apparently, the car space thief had only been parking for short periods of time, but that wasn’t good enough for the man. The truck arrived shortly after…
Excuse After Excuse
The space thief started getting desperate and began showering the man with many excuses as to why they had been using the space. But the man got into his car and waited for the truck driver. When he arrived, he was in the middle of an awkward situation.
He Had To Pay A Lot Of Money
When the tow truck driver finally arrived, the man explained the situation and explained why he was parked behind the space thief. He then got in his car and moved out of the way so they could do their job. But the space thief stopped it and paid the $200 fine on the spot. The man was content, and the car was not towed. But the thief was down $200. Hopefully, now they would never use his space ever again. The man wondered if he was the one in the wrong and asked the internet for advice.
