The man’s next-door neighbors had three very energetic children he often spotted playing outside. But, one day, he noticed they were playing in his backyard. At first, he let it go, but then they started doing it all the time. When he asked their parents about it, they said the kids were having ‘harmless fun’ and that they loved his garden.

Despite the compliment, the man wasn’t happy with his neighbor’s response. They never asked permission for their kids to play in his garden. He was okay with allowing them to use it occasionally but wasn’t happy with someone using his property without asking first.

They Had Caused Permanent Damage

On several occasions, the man caught the children playing in his garden without permission. But he didn’t do anything about it until they started damaging his plants and decorations. His once ‘peaceful oasis’ was now becoming a messy playpen.

Apparently, his neighbors believed that his garden was a shared space as the yards were adjacent to each other. The man thought that this was utterly ridiculous. It was his property that he carefully maintained! He turned to the internet for advice.

Another commented, ‘It is your property, and using it without permission is trespassing.’

A reader vented their frustrations, ‘What is it with entitled parents?! They should make their backyard nicer if they want somewhere for their kids to play.’

There Were Lots of Opinions
