To make matters worse, the man’s wife was even more furious about his comments regarding her cleaning. She already took on overwhelming responsibilities including childcare and cooking, and it wasn’t fair for him to expect her to keep the house spotless on top of all these chores.

The man became frustrated, as he felt that he was being blamed by both parties for each other’s behaviors. He felt that he hadn’t done anything wrong, but could understand why both his mother and his wife were angry.

The man headed online, posting his conundrum in the hope that he would receive some validation from online friends. However, his friends were not willing to stick up for him this time. “Your mum used racist slurs against your wife in front of your children”, one person accused. “Why don’t YOU tidy up before your mother comes over?”
