A man in his mid-20s was driving back from the grocery store with his fiance. When he got home, there was nowhere to park, seeing as his own spot was under construction. So, he parked in a random space, but when he returned, his car was blocked in by a stranger. They left a polite letter on the vehicle’s windshield, but when they returned later, the car behind them was gone, and in its place was a threatening note written in black Sharpie.
They Paid For Parking
The man said, ‘We have been living in the apartment complex for almost two months now, and we have paid parking.’
Their Reserved Spot Was Under Construction
He and his fiancé had paid for parking, but their spot was under construction. The building manager instructed them to use the visitor parking for the two weeks it would take for their spot to be ready, but after five weeks, the couple still had nowhere to park their vehicle.
It Wasn’t A Problem At First
There were no issues with this system at first. They would park in the visitor’s section out front of their building. But one day, he and his fiancé drove back from the grocery store, and no spaces were available.
It Was Their Only Option
They drove around and couldn’t find anywhere to park, so they ended up moving to the back parking lot, far away from their building. They found an empty spot and just went for it, thinking it wouldn’t be an issue.
Someone Blocked Them In
The next day, the man was out walking his dog when he saw that his car was blocked in by a stranger’s vehicle. He assumed it was the owner of the parking space making a point. Who else would block someone in, parking half on the grass and half on the parking lot?
It Wasn’t His Fault
The man said, ‘I know it’s their spot, and I should have parked in any of the other handful of empty spots around that area, but there’s no way to know who uses that spot or not.’
He Was Angry
The man was mad as he felt the owner was suggesting he always stole his parking spot when this was only the first time. His fiancé wrote a polite note apologizing to the owner of the space and explained why they had to park there on this one-off occasion.
“Park Here Again & I Break You”.
Later that day, the man returned to the spot to retrieve his car. Luckily, the vehicle blocking him had moved, but in its place was a note with bold writing in Sharpie. The note said, “PARK HERE AGAIN & I BREAK YOU”.
It Was Shocking
The man was shocked by the note. He couldn’t believe this was someone’s reaction to a parking space. He never intended to park in this person’s space again, but now would be doubly sure.
He Felt Uncomfortable
Something about the note didn’t sit right with the man. He couldn’t have been the only human to borrow a space, especially when many alternative spots were under construction. He felt he and his fiancé had been mistreated and asked the internet for advice.

One person said, ‘You were lucky they didn’t get your car towed.’
