The Woman Explained The Situation
She said, “About a year ago my neighbor, self proclaimed ministers, came over and asked to park in the 2′ x 5′ space between our garage and their driveway/garage. We agreed to it, thinking this a one time thing.”
Her Neighbors Started Parking There Often
They started to park in the space, parallel to their grassy patch, constantly and the woman just assumed this was because street parking was limited and it was a misunderstanding. She added, “I wasn’t trying to start a feud with my neighbor over something so small.”
The Woman’s Packages Were Suspiciously Missing
A few of her packages were misdelivered, including one which was missing for a couple of weeks before the neighbor brought it over. She noted, “I started to wonder about the other missing packages and if they kept them. All were cat items – they have 5 cats. My ring also caught her taking a package off my porch and telling the ring cam it was hers.”
They Used Her Garbage Bin
She explained, “I noticed other trash in my bin, sometimes filled up so that I wouldn’t have room for my stuff. Then one day, I noticed they had bags of trash in their yard, and couldn’t fit it all in their bin. The bags were black and matched the one being dumped in my bin. I even saw him heading toward my bin, when he saw me and went to another neighbor’s bin.”
There Was More Strange Behavior
The neighbors began to use the spot in her driveway as a place to put their garbage bins and pushed them against her garage. She added, “It bothered me a little that they were taking so many liberties, but not enough to say something because it’s so small.”
She Had Enough
She recently found cardboard boxes scattered across her lawn along with three baby pools full of gravel. She explained, “At best, they were leaving trash on the land I let them use. At worst, they were trying to do some adverse possession of my property.”
The Woman Turned The Spot Into A Flower Bed
She was furious and her husband went to speak to the neighbors with no response. She threw the cardboard in their bin and bought roses, mulch and stackable edging. She added, “Looks great and the edging is about the height of cinder blocks but classy.”
