The Woman Explained The Situation
She said, “I live with my husband, and our two children. A young couple, probably in their early twenties, are our next door neighbors.”
Her Husband and Kids Went To A Park
One day her husband and kids visited a local park. She added, “Ideally I would’ve gone too, as it’s easier to manage the kids when we’re both there, but I had important office work that day and my husband had a day off.”
The Son Wanted To Use The Swing
Their son wanted to play on the swing but her husband didn’t allow him to because he had to look after their daughter too, and instead decided to walk around together.
Her Husband Was Distracted
The daughter got a pebble in her shoe and her husband sat her down to check it, asking the son to stay next to him.
The Son Fell Over
She added, “I guess he really wanted to swing and seeing his dad’s attention elsewhere, decided to run for it. He was trying to go too fast, lost his balance and fell.”
CPS Was At The Door
They went home from the park and the parents spoke to their son, telling him that he shouldn’t have ran off. Later, CPS showed up at their door.
He Was Accused Of Negligence
She explained, “They’ve been given reports about how my husband was a negligent parent and how he put Jake’s life in danger. They mentioned the park incident where according to their version, my husband totally forgot about Jake and that led to Jake seriously hurting himself.”
CPS Didn’t Find Anything Wrong
She explained, “There were no serious injuries. He had minor scratches on his hands and knees”. CPS couldn’t confirm that there was any abuse going on and were also unable to reveal the identity of the reporter.
She Confronted The Neighbors
Her husband mentioned that their neighbors were at the park that day and she later confronted them and the woman confessed. She clarified, “She even went on to say that my husband was almost abusive and that she was just looking out for my son.”
The Woman Was Furious
She yelled at her neighbor, telling her that she was trivializing abuse and parental negligence. The woman cried and her boyfriend told her that it was just a mistake. She added, “I was super mad at this, and I generally don’t get that angry, but she was accusing my husband of being abusive and she called CPS on him.”
